Fulfilled Fantasies
Curatorial practice
Fulfilled Fantasies is my Master’s thesis and curatorial debut. I developed this proposal for a citywide gallery exhibition on local contemporary Chicago drag art practice, which was accepted for installation at the Hokin Gallery. The exhibition featured 15 artists including 6 photographers, 2 video artists, and 7 fashion designers whose subject matter is Chicago drag. I led four student teams with a $1500 budget to a record breaking opening night attendance of 200+ guests. I served as press contact for the exhibit, which was written up by Chicago Magazine and Sixty Inches from Center. I also designed and wrote the exhibition catalog which you can view here.
